There are conflicting report as to where the family originated. Death certificates are for Ireland but census reports state England.
The family came to America from England via Glasgow. The Matilda (McDougall) Sanderson was originally from Ireland. Mystery ChildrenTwo children, Alex & Eliza, ages 6 and 4 do not seem to arrive in America. No deaths for either are recorded in the city. They are not included in census data or wills for the family.
it is possible the children died on their voyage or belonged to a family member and were reunited with their parents upon arrival. East Boston to StoughtonI have to wonder if they picked Stoughton because of Deacon Robert Sanderson, who was there in the 1600's Is it possible that the 27 arches of land they has was connected?
