Wee Fae 'Ouse

Katherine, owner of the Wee Fae ‘Ouse is a single mother with Multiple Sclerosis on a mission.  Since 2004 Katherine has been taking on projects north of Boston, Massachusetts. Her love of rejuvenating neglected properties has stayed with her as her life has changed.
From September to June she is a full-time Special Educator at a special education public day school.  She teaches English Language Arts and electives; in the past she taught a range of electives: Alternative Art, Social-Emotional, Health and Wellness, and Creative Writing to name a few. She also provides teacher Professional Development on Social Emotional Wellness and technology.   Katherine has her Masters of Science in Special Education and a BFA from Massachusetts College of Art and DeSign.  She has also taught value-based sexual education classes for youth of all ages for the past 10 years. She enjoys promoting open conversations about living sustainably, social-emotional wellness, and sexual well-being.
The Wee Fae ‘Ouse, or the Fairy Cottage, was originally completed in 1871, by Robert Sanderson.  Mr. Sanderson was a devout Methodist and shipbuilder.  Katherine, with the help of family, friends and colleagues from her days in construction full time, will reinvent the cottage to make a retreat for the body and spirit.
